COVID-19 Operational Procedures for Flourishing Life Psychology

As the government deems psychological support as an essential service, I will be returning to deliver face to face sessions next week from Tuesday 7th April, 2020. Please call (02) 9553 9023 to make a booking if you would like to see me and do not currently have one.

From Tuesday 7th April, 2020, we plan to put in additional measures as precautions in our office to maintain our commitment to the health and safety of all clients, visitors and staff. Staff will also have undertaken the COVID-19 online training prior to our return to the office to resume face to face sessions.

What precautions will we implement?

  • Hand wash and paper towels/ tissues will be available at the front reception desk.
  • We will wash our hands thoroughly between each client appointment and will refrain from shaking hands.
  • High frequency touch areas such as door handles will be cleaned between each client.
  • Will endeavour to avoid client interactions at change-over times, so we ask that when people are in reception they remain there until called, as per the 1.5 m social distancing guidelines.

Our commitment to you

We will take precautions and regularly review our health and safety procedures in order to protect all clients and visitors to the clinic.

In the event that a client or colleague we have had contact with contracts COVID-19, we will advise an appropriate course of action.

We will be keeping you as informed as possible and direct you to suitable sources if you have any questions that are outside of our expertise.

Our requests

We request that you wash your hands thoroughly upon arrival at our clinic. We ask you to do this in the bathrooms located to the right of the clinic before you enter.

We request that you do not visit the clinic for at least 14 days if you have arrived in Australia from overseas (from midnight 15 March 2020), even if you do not have any symptoms, or if you think you may they have been in close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus. We also request that you do not attend your appointment if you are feeling unwell with any cold, cough or ‘flu like symptoms even if you have not been confirmed with the virus, due to this sensitive time period. We will do everything we can to offer an alternative appointment or Telehealth Session (online).

Regarding our Cancellation policy

You can rearrange or cancel appointments up to one full business day, without incurring any fee before the appointment time. To do this, please via email or phone.

If you are unable to give one full business days’ notice or you miss the session without giving notice, a late cancellation payment will be required, (except in the case of unpredictable and very serious personal emergencies, which we will decide at our discretion). We will always try to offer another appointment if you have to cancel at short notice, but if we are unable to find another mutually convenient time in the same week, the late cancellation fee will be payable ($90 cancellation fee).
